We need to give as many of them a chance to better our planet/world. I remember a film clip of an American Soldier handing an Iraqi girl bottle water and some candy. Her face lite up like a Christmas Tree. It really doesn't take much to change a heart of a young soul and to let them know we care. Any bit helps and is a start. - Inspired by their conversations with Operation Iraqi Freedom soldiers as well as Sinise's recent tour of the region, Sinise and Hillenbrand founded Operation Iraqi Children, a grass roots program to provide concerned Americans with a means to reach out to Iraqi kids and help support our soldiers' efforts to assist the Iraqi people.

CHILDREN OF THE DUMP
- Socorro Villegas scavenged at the city dump outside Puerto Vallarta in Mexico, where many poor families struggle against disease and hunger not far from the city's beach resorts. A charity to help the children of the dump was created to honor Flight 261 victims Joe and Linda Knight, co-pastors of a Monroe church who had made a mission of providing a place for the children to shower, eat a hot meal and seek health care.
